was married to mrs b sushila,now deceased.
ist son dr.krishna rao addoor,a corp bank executive,and an expert on consumer affairs
2nd son dr.a.suryanarayan rao an expert in wild life.
granddaughter suma a brilliant engineer engaged to be married to an equally brilliant software professional mr.hariprasad nadig.

Mr Shivashankar Rao or Shankar Chigapa as I call, is not only agood agriculturist but also a great scholar. He gave many lectures in the topic of agriculture at various places ,like Pune,Bangalore. He is fond of reading books. HE IS A TREASURE OF KNOWLEDGE.
Infact Shankarajja's knowledge pool is so vast that he can go on talking about any topic for hours!!
