I  am  attaching  the  suggestion  from  Krishna.   I  want  to  know  the  opinion  from  each  and  everyone  of  you.

 May be Shaliniakka is true since so many additions have taken place.I have been thinking about this after reading her comment.

One way of dealing this would be to write a family tree and send it across to everyone:but with this eveytime you need to refer to it.

I find the second one will be more appropriate.Whenever you speak about a person you can put his/her person under the 1st generation whom we instantly recognise.
For eg.Somyas news can be put in such a way that

Sri.Prabhakar Rao/Mrs.BharathiRao
Sowmya has secured a first prize .......etc etc

Any way hearty congratulations to Sowmya.
And one more thing it requires more and more participation from all.they can write about their kith and kin in the comments which you can cut and paste in the regular update

It  is  quite  sometime  since  this  page  has  been  updated.

 

As  already  stated,  the  santharpane  at  the  polali  temple  was  conducted  on  the  28th.

The  jatra  concluded  on  the  11th,  the  kade  chendu  was  on the  9th,  the  rathotsava  on  the  10th.

There  was  quite  a  crowd  on  all  these  days.

Sri.Ananthakrishna,  Renuka,  and  Avinash  came  for  the  2nd  chendu,

Mardoli  Surya  on  the  kade  chendu  day,  Mardoli  Kittappa  and  his  son  came  on  the  rathotsava  day.

Kittappa's  son  came  in  his  Ford  Ikon.

Sushruth  took  a  lot  of  pictures  and  a  few  clips  of  video.

I  am  trying  to  include  some  of  these  in  this  blogspot.

 

On  5th  april,  Indra  nooyi  was  conferred  Padma  Bhushan  award  by  the  President  Of  India  at  the  Rashtrapathi  Bhavan,

Let  all of  us  join  in  congratulating  her  on  this  occasion.

She  will  be  awarded   the  most  outstanding  immigrant  award  by  the  State  Dept.  on  the  24th.

We  all  are  proud , as  all  indians  should  be,  of  her  astounding  achievement.

And  let  us  all  wish  her  to  earn  further  accolades  .

 

Ramakka  returned  from  Malaysia  at  the  end  of  march.

Mr. Kamal, Mrs.Prim and  Ramakka  are  to  come  to  Adoor  tomorrow.  The  Kamal  couple   are  coming  to  Adoor  after  a  long  time.

 

Bhamini  Samaahith,  Samaashritha,  Mr.Madhavachar, and Mrs. Jayanti  Madhavachar  came  to  Adoor  on  the  7th.  afternoon.  Bhamini  drove  from  Manipal,

Mr.Madhavachar  left  in  the  evening,  The  rest  stayed  here  overnight  and  left  for  Manipal,  the  next  day  evening.Samaahith  has  performed  well  in  his  exams.

Samaashritha  is  a  sweet  child  ,We  the  grand-parents  had  an  enjoyable  time  with  them.

 

Vidya  And  Subodh  are  to  come  to  Kundapur  for  their  first  ugadi  after  their  marriage.

 

Seetharam,Sujatha,Sachin,Nirmala,and  V.Bavaya  have  gone  to  Bangalore  for  a  short  visit  They  must  have  returned  by  now.

 

Ramesh  is  likely  to  come  to   Manipal  on  the  20th.  and  he  is  likely  to  return  by the  22nd.

 

Sowmya,  along  with  two  of  her  friends  presented  a  paper  on  "Implementation  of  hybrid  compression  technique  on    Tag  Data  in  an  RFID  system"   which  got  them  the  first  prize  of  Rs.2500.

Three  cheers  to  Sowmya  and  her  friends.

 

Sudesh's  exams.  will  be  over  on  the  16th.

Hi,  everybody,

 

On  28th  march,  the  yearly  santharpane  at  Polali  temple  was  supervised  by  Sushruth,  About  100-120  brahmins  attended  the  same.  About  300  non-brahmins  were  also  fed  on  that  day.

 

Shankaranna,  Rajee,  her  mother,  Surya,  Ramesh,  Padmini,  Lakshmi,  Prabhakar,  Ambika,  her  sister  Shakuntala,  and  her  friend  attended  the  same.

 

It  cost  6,600+2800,(9400)  this  year.

A  few  days  before,  Sushilakka,  Sharada,  Aravind,  Uma,  Kishore,  and  Kashamma's  son  dropped  in  on  their  way  to  the  temple. 

Aravind  has  just  finished  his  B.E.  and  was  waiting  for  his  postings.  Sharada  said  that  Aditya  may  shift  to  Bangalore  from Bombay.

Ashok  was  as  busy  as  ever  ,frequently  visiting  London,  on  official  work  .  There  he  met  Amrith, & Shalini .who  are  in  London.

He  also  met  Raj Kishen  who  happened  to  be  there  then.

 

Sitaram,  Sujatha, &  Sachin  got  a  10  year  visa  from  the  U.S.Consulate. They  are  scheduled  to  visit  U.S.A.  sometime  in  june.

 

Ramakka  has  come  back  from  Malayasia.

Could  anyone  dream  of  an  invite  from  Mrs.Cherie  and  Mr.  Tony  Blair  for  an  eightsome  dinner  at  Chequers  ,  the  1400  acre  country  retreat  of  the  Prime  Minister  of  Great  Britain  ?

 

Subash,  We  are  so  sorry  that  you  and  your  parents   are  not  coming  to  adoor  as  planned,

We  all  pray  and  hope  for  your  early  and  full  recovery.

We  all  hope  you  will  definitely  do  so  at  the  next  early  opportunity.

 

Naagamandala  is  being  performed  at  Kandoor  today.  Puttu  is  representing  us  .Ajitha  is  also  attending  the  same.

Sreelatha , her  two  children , her  husband  and  her  mother-in-law  came  and  escorted  Leelakka  to  the  event  one  day  in  advance.

Sreelatha  and  her  husband  are  planning  to  tour  Australia  and  New Zealand  this  summer.

Let  us  all  wish  them  a  very  happy  and  safe  journey. 

 

Sitaram,  Sujatha  and  Sachin  got  the  visa  to  visit  the  States  in  June  .They  are  attending  the  Lions  Annual  Meeting .

Sushilakka , Uma , Kishore  and  Veena  have  come  to  attend  the  naagamandala  at  Kandoor.

 

Vidya  and  Subodh  have  gone  to  Utteranchal  for  their  honeymoon .

Deepak  bought  a  new  Honda  City  car.  

May  the  new  acquisition  bring  them  goodluck  and  prosperity.

The  samaaraadane  at  the  polali  temple  is  scheduled  on  the  28th  instant .

Actually  the  15th  dandamaala  falls  on  the  29th  but  that  day  happens  to  be  an  ekadashi  day  and  there  cannot  be  a  samaaraadane  on  an  ekadashi  day.  hence   the  rescheduled  date .

The  adoor  clan  is  expected  to  attend  the  same  without  fail  and  receive  the  blessings  of  Sree  RajaRajeshwari  Devi.

 

Sudesh's  exams  start  from  the  26th.

Hi, everybody,

Dr.Subhas,  his  wife  Swapna   and  their  child  Ritwik,came  here  on  the  morning  of  10th  march. 

Subhas  had  last  visited  adoor  soon  after  his  P.G.  in  Manipal  before  he  left  for  U.K.  for  his  MRCP. 

It  was   the  first  visit  of  Swapna  and  Ritwik  to  adoor.. 

Ritwik  is  such  a  sweet  child  ,he  was  quite  happy  to  touch  and  pat  the  young  calves. 

But  he  got  quite  frightened  when  the  cows  started  bellowing  in  unison  when  it  was  time for  their  feeding.

It  took  quite  some  time  to  console  him  .

Both  Subhas  and  Swapna  were  more  like  one  of  us  than  mere  guests. Thanx  to you  both .

We  shall  fondly  cherish  the  memories  of  your  visit.

They  visited  the  temple  at  the  noon  pooja.Ritwik  is  said  to  have  enjoyed  the  ringing  of  the  bells  during  the  pooja,

They  had  lunch  here  . visited  the  riverside ,but  did  not  get  into  the  river  

They  left  after  lunch  for Udipi.'

They  came  all the  way  from  Madras  to  attend  Vidya's  marriage  at  Udipi  on  the  11th.

We  wish  their  next  visit  would  be  a  more  extended  and  a  relaxed  one.

 

Vidya's  marriage  was  celebrated  grandly  on  the  11th  at  Udipi.

She  must  have  gone  to  Mumbai  with  her  husband  Mr.Subodh  Mayya  by  now.

Let  us  all  wish  the  newly  married  couple  a  long  happy   and  prosperous  married  life.

 

A  piece  of  good  news.

Surya  has  been  awarded  PhD  for  his  research  work  on  amphibia  in  the  western  ghats.

His  various  paper  presentations  can  be  accessed  from  the  web.

 

Sowmya  and  Raghuram  have  passed the  recent  semester  exams.

 

LET  US  ALL JOIN  AND  CONGRATULATE  ALL  THE  THREE  ON  THEIR  GRAND  SUCCESS   AND  WISH  THEM   SUCCESS  AND  PROSPERITY.

 

 

ATK  performed  the  housewarming  of  his  flat  on  the  7th  march.

The  flat  is  on   5th  floor  -a  3  bedroom  flat  -  in  Falnir,  Mangalore.

Most  of  the  cousins  attended  this  happy  occasion.

Let  us  all  wish  that  the  house  blesses  him  and  his  family  with  all   happiness  amd  prosperity .

 

GKR.Manorama  (Ramakka)   has  gone  to  Malacca  for  a  short  holiday  .

 

For  Krishna-  Vishalakka's  son  Ranjan  is  joining  a  MNC  in  Bangalore  on  25th  april.

                      her  daughter  Rashmi  and  her  child  Prajwal  (2  and  half  months  old)  are   all  okay.
